Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026. By using ind-x, you agree to these terms.

Service Description

ind-x is a decentralized search engine that indexes web metadata and publishes it to the Nostr network. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Acceptable Use

You may use ind-x for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Automate excessive queries that degrade service for others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the index in bulk
  • Use the service for illegal activities or to violate third-party rights
  • Interfere with the crawler, relays, or network infrastructure

No Warranties

ind-x is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability. Search results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ind-x and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Indexed Content

ind-x indexes publicly available web metadata. We do not control, endorse, or verify the accuracy of content on third-party sites. Inclusion in the index does not imply endorsement. If you believe content violates your rights, see the Privacy Policy for removal requests.

Third-Party Relays

ind-x uses public Nostr relays operated by independent parties. We do not control relay availability, data retention, or policies. Your use of the service involves interaction with these third-party relays.

Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We may update these terms; continued use constitutes acceptance of revisions.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.
